Last Saturday, in an attempt to get out of the house and attempt to feel slightly more human, we took Jake down to The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. He's been in love with 'feesh' lately, so we thought he'd love it, and he did. The new otters were asleep the first time we walked past, but were all over the place when we went back before leaving. They are too cute and Jake thought they were so funny the way the flipped around after each other in the water. He also thought the penguins were pretty great, and was in awe of the jellyfish. They have a touch pool with rays, small sharks, and jelly fish in it. Jason was all over it, the shark was wrapping back around his hand like a cat does your leg. Jake wanted nothing to do with the touching part, he was perfectly content just watching daddy touch the animals. Near the touch pool is the big shark tank with the tortoise and big sting rays. Jake stood right up to the glass and watched as the tortoise did laps around the edge, with a sting ray doing the same but in the opposite direction. At one point they passed almost at the same time and with his focus on the tortoise, he jumped and made the most terrible face when the sting ray caught him off guard. We found him a little stuffed shark in the clearance bin at the gift shop that he cuddled all the way home as he slept.

I enjoyed the aquarium, but more than anything I just loved spending the day with my two favorite boys.
Jake is getting so big. Fun pictures!
